CorTen is a type of steel whose color becomes richer with each passing year, reaching its maximum intensity after 8–10 years. The piece looks especially striking against greenery, and under any weather conditions it develops a noble cognac-like patina. The rust forms only on the surface, protecting the metal from internal corrosion.
